If Your Doctor Recommends Tissue Expansion...Tissue expansion is a relatively straightforward procedure that enables the body to "grow" extra skin for use in reconstructing almost any part of the body. A silicone balloon expander is inserted under the skin near the area to be repaired and then gradually filled with salt water over time, causing the skin to stretch and grow. It is most commonly used for breast reconstruction following breast removal-but it's also used to repair skin damaged by birth defects, accidents or surgery, and in certain cosmetic procedures. If your doctor is recommending tissue expansion, this will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it's performed, and what results you can expect. It can't answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your surgeon if there is anything you don't understand about the procedure. |

Bad plastic surgery often indicates surgical errors in the plastic surgery procedure, although many times bad plastic surgery results from poor aesthetic choices by either the surgeon or the patient prior to surgery. Bad plastic surgery can happen in any plastic surgery procedure and can indicate a number of problems. Bad plastic surgery that is most easily identified is, of course, facial surgery. In facial surgery, bad plastic surgery can result from face-lifts that are too tight, causing asymmetry and tightness. Some victims of bad plastic surgery from face-lifts lose mobility or sensation in their faces due to damaged nerves. Examples of bad plastic surgery abound and while some are simple to fix, others like botched rhinoplasty can prove impossible. Bad plastic surgery can generally only be repaired if there is enough tissue left to do the job. |

Problem with Large Nipples & What to Expect During Nipple Reduction Surgery? Nipple reduction surgery is most often requested by women who were born with overly large nipples or areolas (the pigmented area around the nipple). Overly large nipples can cause embarrassment when they are erect as well as make the fitting of bras uncomfortable. Many women also prefer the more demure appearance of smaller nipples as well as a less prominent areola as both are less noticeable under clothing. |

Are You a Good Candidate for Nipple Enlargement Surgery? For years a nipple enlargement technique was normally considered to be a form of reconstructive surgery. It was called a corrective nipple surgery or deformed nipple surgery. It was mainly used to enhance the appearance of breasts that were altered or damaged by the removal of cysts or tumors due to cancer. It is only in recent years that it has been requested as a cosmetic procedure.
Healthy women who feel that aesthetically their nipples look too small usually request nipple enlargement surgery. It is mainly requested by actresses and individuals who work in the porn industry where nipple size might mean the difference between getting a job or not. Today, inverted nipple correction/reconstruction is a popular plastic surgery in showbiz. When used as a cosmetic treatment for healthy women, breast nipple enlargement surgery is a very simple operation that involves grafting tissue, fat and cartilage from one part of the body to the nipple area. The bad news is that not all types of nipples are suitable for enlargement. Some nipples have anatomical anomalies that make them difficult to reconstruct. Also, this type of reconstructive surgery can prevent you from breast-feeding in the future. The good news is that this procedure can be done so that scarring rarely, if ever, occurs. Besides, new, sophisticated nipple enhancement techniques ensure great nipple enhancement results.
If you were born with inverted nipples, nipple enlargement might well be a part of a surgeon’s plan to attempt to correct it. Inverted nipples are usually a congenital condition that causes the nipple to be continually hidden inside the breast. It can also be caused by breast surgery, scarring from breast-feeding or an infection in the milk ducts. Often it causes continual discomfort in the form of skin irritation and rashes.

Breast Reduction Surgery - Definition Breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) is a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure. It involves breast size reduction by excising fat, skin, and glandular tissue. In general, it counteracts drooping of the breasts. Breast reduction is oriented toward women with pendulous, large breasts, since the weight of their breasts causes various problems. Back pain in particular can be an issue for women with large breasts. Sometimes the discomfort is more emotional than physical due to disproportionately large breast size as compared to other body features. Reduction mammoplasty can provide the surgery recipient with smaller, lighter, and firmer breasts. The surgeon may also reduce the size of the areola or nipples. |

Breast lift surgery Simply defined, a breast lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure that temporarily raises and reshapes sagging breasts. The reason the operation is considered temporary is that there is no surgical operation on earth that can permanently keep breasts safe from the forces of gravity. |
